Leak Identified at 0.5 Bar Pressure and 7 Metres Deep Now Verified

Posted on April 30, 2016 by API

A recent leak detection survey undertaken by API has now been verified.

The challenging survey was undertaken from a reservoir outlet point and was difficult due to its hillside terrain and also bury depth. The 4 inch cast iron main had been leaking for many years, however could not be identified by any other technology available on the market. The successful project is an industry first as the pipe pressure was only 0.5 bar. API used a PIPA Technology product for the survey called the Pipepod TM.
