API Has just completed a pipe inspection trial for WSD in Hong Kong. The pilot project was to assess numerous bitumen lined trunk mains, and identify any defects and unlined sections. The pressurised inspections were 16 bar pressure and successfully completed by API, and gave the utility a true understanding of their water main condition.
The trial scheme has now been extended to an additional 24 pipe surveys, with many other territories planning work for 2018.
